FREMONT, CA – July 26, 2018 On July 6th, 2018, the United States government announced a 10% and 25% tariff on $200 billion worth of Chinese products entering the United States. Unfortunately, the power cords that are manufactured at our factory in China was also on one of the list of items impacted by this decision.
While some items will see a 25% tariff, power cords will be affected by a 10% tariff. Currently, the list containing power cords and other items is going through a formal review process that was scheduled for July 24th, 2018 and late August. It is unclear as to when exactly these tariffs will begin to be collected. We will update accordingly.
